Hopping into the wayback machine for these recs. They were some of the first recs I ever posted. I realized last night that all of my X-Files links are pretty much dead so I thought I'd re-rec. Also, I've been in the mood to reread these fics for some reason so I thought I'd share.
6 Keys by Politic X, Scully/Reyes, NC-17 is simply one of the hottest fics I have ever read. Period. And it's not just the sex, which is mind-blowing, but the prose. Anyone who has ever written a sex scene knows how difficult/impossible they are to pull off, but Politic X makes it look easy. Over and over again. I kept saying to myself, what makes these sex scenes so damn good? It's the writing stupid. Politic X takes her time with the description and the seduction without teasing. Without artificial barriers or angst. Reyes gets very drunk at a restaurant with Mulder, Scully, and whatshisname and Scully has to take her drunk, flirtatious ass home. Unbelievably hot sex ensues.
Night Ride Across the Caucasus also by Politic X and also Scully/Reyes is more of an R. This is a well-crafted, complex story involving inter-dimensional travel and star-crossed love. Yes, this is one of my kinks. Scully has been shot and paralyzed trying to apprehend a suspect, but the past she remembers is different from the shared past of everyone around her. It's up to Reyes to figure out the puzzle with only limited help from an invalid and deteriorating Scully who remembers a world in which she and Reyes are lovers/partners. Again, this is one of my kinks serious kinks and Politic X makes it work on every level -- characterization, craft, and story.

liz_estrada is a crossover with Cornwell's novels - Scully/Lucy Farinelli, NC-17. Because two supersexy genius crimefighters should meet and share snark and other hothotthings. This is a fantastic and believable story that does have a few minor problems. The sex scenes are a bit purple in the prose, but they still manage to be very hot and really what a perfect pairing.
All of these and more (including more Politic X) are available at the ScullySlash Archive, which, hopefully, won't disappear anytime soon.

Wonderful Scully characterization and I'm particularly fond of the way giantess worked in Melissa's death and the deep damage it did to Scully. Or should have done.
