So, I asked for recs and I received.

sravenk sent me to

coolbyrne's site to read Out of Context, Olivia Benson/Nikki Wade, 18+. This was a real treat. It's so difficult to get crossovers right -- familiar characters in unfamiliar universes interacting with strangers -- but

coolbyrne really gets it right. And more than that. This is a wonderfully paced full-fledged story that covers all its bases and manages flawless characterization (not to mention, dialogue!!!!). Olivia at sea and swimming in Larkhall works on so many levels as do the other familiar faces (the Julies, Denny, and Yvonne are all present). The dialog is right out of an ep of Bad Girls. Plus,

coolbyrne Makes Them Make Out! and more.

Just checked

ralst's P&P and Out of Context, Part 1 is up there too without the distracting formatting problems (? instead of ") of the first two parts on

coolbyrne's site (this might just be an issue for Firefox users like me).

Hmmm, maybe I should start my own challenge, a Pimp Challenge. Pimp me your favorite stories and...well, I don't have any prizes, but, um, I'll squee over you?
