quasiradiant, Mac/Kelly, PG. Okay, so it's not the Oval Office PWP I was fantasizing about, but it is a spectacular fic about the pressures of duty. Beautifully written with perfect characterization, the dialog is particularly spectacular in this fic. It flows like the realistic shorthand of two people who have worked with and known each other for years. Two people who are concealing as much as they reveal. Dialog like this is so difficult and Quasiradiant does such a wonderful job of showing and not telling. I was going to include a quote, but it's all quotable so go. Read. Comment.
