Of course, I have about a thousand pages to read and 150 exams to grade, but I couldn't help myself and wow did I luck out!

When in Doubt, Wear Red by thelastgoodname is The Devil Wears Prada, Andy/Miranda, NC-17. This fic is absolutely brilliant. Perfect voice and characterization, very strong dialog and absolutely perfect pacing to match the terrifying pace of the high-fashion magazine world. thelastgoodname absolutely pwns this pairing and does incredible things with it. Nothing cloying or overly sweet for Miranda and Andy, while bewildered, is still intelligent and driven as they both stumble their way into a relationship. Brilliant stuff!

Love the Damages icon, btw. That show worries me. I'm so scared it's going to jump the shark...in fact, I'm more terrified of that (shark-jumping) than the actual evil plot lines. Because, no one puts Glenn Close in a corner. Or something.

OH DAMAGES. I can't imagine it jumping the shark. I mean, I could care less about the ostensible thriller plot -- but it's just so awesomely and unavoidably gay! and, like, Ted Danson-y.
