A few quick favs from the very small selection of porn battle fics I've managed to read so far:

Red Wine and Hope if blueflamingo is SGA, Laura Cadman/Katie Brown, Mature. This ficlet manages to be an extraordinary character study in what is essential a (scorching hot) PWP.

Tease by uselessmarks is Xena, Mature. When it was, it was grand. And when it wasn't, it was pain. More beautiful, hot as hell fic. uselessmarks's other fic, To the Bone, is angsty, focusing on the warrior's battle with herself and can be read as a prelude (I think? sort of?) to Tease.

sarcasm by hyel is Bethany/Liz, Dogma, Mature (obviously!). I know nothing about this fandom, but that doesn't keep me from appreciating this lovely, lovely piece of literary hotness.

going back for more... until I have to finally buckle down and write that paper that's due tomorrow.

The first one is about Greek influences on Gandharan art...so for weeks now it's been all blabbity-blah-omg-I-need-more-sources-look-at-this-illustration!-oh-my-flash-drive-ate-my-pdfs-and-I-can't-do-the-dishes-because-I'm-BUSY-but-we-CAN-have-sex-because-it-helps-me-think-oh-no-I-left-that-article-AT-WORK....

And that's just the first paper. I'm not sure what the second one is about, but it's art history stuff too.

Can we switch girlfriends? At least until the end of the semester? I'll throw in the cat as a bonus.

My GF is working on an art history paper right now as well! It's on tea ceremony in ancient Japan (for a class she despises with an unholy sort of hate) and the running monologue is almost exactly the same except for the occasional OMG-I-need-to-be-producing-artwork!-I-am-so-fucked interjection.

Wait. Are we dating the same woman? Blonde, blue-eyes, all kinds of hot? Yet crazy-making when a paper's due?

No, mine is brunette, brown eyes. So she can't be the same woman unless....she is wearing a wig/contacts when she's with one of us! So when she says she's staying late at work or going to the library she's actually flying halfway across the country to drive YOU crazy!
