theholyinnocent's wondrous SVU fic and just had to share. That links to her longer fic (my fav), but there are links to short fics and ficlets and even drabbles.
I don't know what to say about this fic (all of them!) without sounding like a swooning fangirl...so I'll sound like a swooning fangirl. This is beautiful fic. Beautifully written, conceived and executed. It isn't light or sweet, but it isn't heavy with angst. There's no drama for drama's sake, just wonderfully realized characters caught in complicated situations, reacting realistically, which means they don't always do the right thing and someone usually gets hurt. I think one of the greatest achievements of this fic is how adult these women feel. I read a lot of fic in which these women feel more like teenagers than the strong, confident, complicated, experienced women they should be and are intheholyinnocent's fic. Also, as a former New Yorker, it's so nice to read someone who gets the feel (and details) of the city right.
If I used a stars system, this bunch of fic would get 4.5 to 5 out of 5. It's that good.
Just to warn you, although her fic strongly leans toward Alex/Olivia, there is more than passing reference to Olivia/Abbie.
