I never got into this show despite the hotness of Peta Wilson in the title role. I was a rabid fan of the original French version so I couldn't bring my snobby self to watch the show. plus, the love interest (whatever his name was) in the TV version was played by what my ex-actor GF likes to call a 'ham sandwich' actor. And pairing him w/Peta was just wrong.

Anyway, stumbled across this wonderful femslashy fic months ago and just had to share:

Zero Point, Nikita/Madeleine, mature by [livejournal.com profile] jaybee65 (whose LJ tag I can't remember at the moment!) is wonderfully done. Although it draws heavily from canon you don't have to be a viewer to figure out what's going on (or I would have been completely lost!). Plus, the flashbacks feel like the original film, which is always a bonus. For me anyway. This is a tightly woven story about power and artifice and sex and... just a fantastic read. This is relatively dark (we'll call it twilight, not pitch black), so you have been warned.

edited to add the correct LJ tag for jaybee and to link to the story on LJ...housekeeping.

 "Ham sandwich" actor! I love it and I agree that Michael/Nikita is wrong. I never could find a decent pairing on that show...

:)
Yes, ham sandwich has double meaning. It started off as a joke about a particular breed of actor she had to run scenes with who clearly weren't 'present'. Ever. They were always just waiting for the cue that would allow them to speak again. You know, actors whose eyes glaze over whenever anyone else is speaking. Thus, she decided that they were obviously thinking about what they were going to have for lunch or what they had for lunch: ham sandwich, ham sandwich, ham sandwich....

Yeah, Michael/Nikita is just all kinds of ew. I have to go wash my brain out now.

I think seeing the American version of the film after the French put me off ever watching the tv series, despite the presence of Peta Wilson. But I'll not let that stop me taking a look *g*

Oh and another resquest, which you can ignore to your hearts content if you wish, but do you know about any more Grey's Anatomy femslash, preferably Izzie/Addison? I've read trancer's and the others you've recommended, but don't know where to find more... God I'm whiny today.

exactly! I managed to avoid the american version of the film altogether. One look at Bridget Fonda in those ridiculous skirts and I was all, are you kidding me with this shit?

as for Izzie/Addison...I wish!!! I'll do another spin through my bookmarks and make sure though. the femslash has been piling up lately so one could have fallen through the cracks...in my brain.

Bookmarks? Is there a GA femslash or femslash friendly site out there? I really need to update my bookmarks.

Yay! LFN was one of those shows I loved but could never lurve because of the Michael/Nikita ship. Aside from Michael's ham sandwichyness (heh, gay! God, that man took 'phoning it in' to epic levels), I could never buy into it because I've always felt that it was an abusive relationship dressed up as a "tragic love story". Bitch, please!! So, I could never get the fandom squee-ness over it all. But, then again, with that fandom, Michael could have eaten babies while bathing in the blood of nuns and the fans would have white-washed it away.

Ahem, anyway, lordy, Nikita was so, so, soo gay! And it sucks that there weren't more women on that show.

Wow. I was reading my friendslist this evening and spotted an entry on [livejournal.com profile] femslash_today with a rec for Nikita/Madeline fic. Thinking it was something new, I got all excited and clicked on the link, only to be even more surprised to discover that it was a rec for my own story. *Blushes*

Thank you very much for the rec -- I'm truly flattered and grateful and, um, taken aback. I've been meaning to move my shorter LFN stories onto LJ anyway, so seeing this was good incentive for me to get this one done. So if anyone prefers to read on LJ, as many people do, you can now find the story here.

Thank you again!

Cool, now I can leave you the glowing feedback in person! Well, not person really, but in LJ :) and put your actual LJ tag in the post. Thanks for the story!

I believe there is a LFN/Alias crossover femslash with Madeline and Irina somewhere out there. I quite liked that one as it combined two of my favorite strong women.

I would love to read it if you can find it.
Wow, I'm so surprised by the response to this rec. Usually when I rec odd fandoms (fandoms that aren't SVU, BSG, or BTVS) I can hear crickets. I'll chalk it up to the hotness of Peta Wilson :)

Couldn't find that one but..

I found this one by Athena4. It's Madeline and Miss Parker from Pretender.

Thanks! Now I just have to find time to read it. :)

There's also this insanity:

Taste of More by Harper. Nikita/Saffy(Absolutely Fabulous). Possibly the craziest x-over of all time, but it works. And it's hot. :) And it's Harper so you know it's good.
