I'm not against the dedication...

But really, don't get me wrong. I actually love what I am doing, I am so much saner, and I don't miss academe AT ALL. It's not the work or industry, it's just my current location within that that's the problem. I just need to get a job in a lead position in a smaller design or consulting firm, which I think I can jump to shortly, for a better fit with the kind of design work I want to do.

Ugh, the rest of the photos are full of such obnoxious Hollywood yuppieness though (which is probably me being jealous that I'm not rich enough to tour California wine country on my own Harley with designer Harley leather gear and doggy sidecar).
